To encourage teenage girls to be virtuous young women in a world that doesn’t always care about moral and ethical standards.

About Us

In 2002, a group of women including mothers, college students, teachers, and youth leaders began meeting to address the serious needs of teenage girls in South Texas. Their heart is to make a difference in a community suffering from a high teenage pregnancy rate, low self-esteem, and family issues. We believe it is time to take positive steps to offer teenage girls and moms some help and guidance. 

It's A Girl Thing! is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization with thirteen women who make up the community-wide board. It's A Girl Thing! conference is designed to create a venue where important issues for teens and their moms/mentors can be addressed.
